Is life boring?

Monotonously choosing the same set of tasks everyday from the kitchen to the desk, we often feel that it’s the circle that is repeating everyday. Some term it as ‘routine’ while some call it as a mundane schedule. Either ways, the tasks remain almost same with some changes here and there. Sometimes, there are complications in even the simplest tasks like boiling the milk. You tend to spill the entire bowl of milk that you were going to have it as breakfast with cereals. And sometimes it becomes so easy, you feel like you’re having super powers in performing the chores that day.

And at the end of this schedule, most of us ae wondering or commenting, well the day was so usually boring that you hardly feel like it’s a new day. From students to office people i.e. for 90% of the population, it remains the same. “Then, why is not wrong to call life boring,” says one of the IT guy taking the mid-day smock at the small tea shop in front of his office. Wouldn’t you agree with that?

But, how far is it true? Those who write daily diaries would know that they somehow manage to write at least something different and unique for each day. For example, “my neighbor didn’t put on the loud music early in the morning hours, and I could enjoy an extra hour of peaceful sleep.” Does it not make the day different and you would look for a similar opportunity in future where it happens again. And this gives rise to a new hope in your heart that gets fulfilled every time that neighbor goes on a vacation. Well, this is the smallest instance of where how small things can make our days appear interesting.

Some life coaches suggest that we must try a new activity every single day for at least an hour or indulge in some creative art so that our minds can evolve with new ideas. But, is it that difficult to make the day special. I hope you got the answer from the previous paragraph that it isn’t. There is a quote “As you think so you become”. Well, that’s how your life works. If you keep lying on the couch just thinking that your life is boring, IT WILL DEFINITELY BE!!
